How the summary is built

Two totals
The guaranteed annual value counts base pay, any guaranteed bonus, the premiums the employer pays and the allowances paid every year. The potential annual value adds a target bonus that depends on results.
Time off in days
Paid time off, holidays and sick days appear in days. The salary already pays for those days, so counting them again in dollars would count the same money twice.
One-time payments on their own
A sign-on bonus, relocation or exam support is listed separately, so a first-year payment never reads as yearly pay.
Trucks and fuel cards
A company truck or fuel card is listed as provided and counts in dollars only when the firm enters a value.
Outside both totals
Employer payroll taxes, workers’ compensation and office perks.
Your figures stay with you
Everything is calculated in this browser tab. None of your names or figures leave this page, and they clear when the tab closes. We count page visits and PDF downloads, and nothing more.

Questions

What is a total compensation statement?

A total compensation statement lists what an employer pays toward a role: base pay, bonus, the employer’s share of insurance, retirement contributions and allowances. The AccuMRK Offer Summary Builder produces one for a single job offer, with the guaranteed and potential totals shown separately.

Should paid time off count in a total compensation figure?

AccuMRK leaves paid time off out of the dollar totals. The salary already covers those days, so adding them again counts the same money twice. The summary lists time off in days.

Is a company truck taxable to the employee?

Under IRS rules, personal use of a company vehicle, commuting included, is generally taxable income to the employee, and the amount depends on how the employer values it. The summary lists a company truck as provided and notes the tax point in its footnote.

The Offer Summary Builder is made by AccuMRK, a recruiting firm for construction, architecture and engineering serving Greater Philadelphia, the Lehigh Valley, New Jersey and Delaware.
